We did take out at this pizza spot and the pizza was good but take out was small! It seemed smaller in the box than the customers sitting but could just be perception! We got the margaritas and the pepperoni! Service was quick with a call in to go order. Good not great imo! Probably better in person
I live around the corner to this place so I've been here multiple times. It's always a favorite and go-to. There's usually a wait when I come but it's usually not too long and worth the wait! They don't take reservations so you just have to show up. For the food, we usually ask for their daily starter. We enjoy their salads - unique and well balanced. The spicy san marzano and classic margherita pizzas are our favorites. The crusts are thin and the pizzas are made to order. The ingredients are fresh and the flavors are amazing. Not heavy feeling at all. Their desserts are also worth trying! The attention of the servers can sometimes be hard to get as they have 1-2 waiters/waitresses managing both the inside and outside tables. The seating is a bit crammed for the tables right outside the restaurant. They have blankets and heat lamps when it's cold outside. Recommend trying their desserts as well!
Loved the farm egg, the eggplant and the margarita pizza here! They were hot out of the oven, thin crusted, fresh and gone in a matter of minutes. Egg plant was a table favorite. Definitely on the lighter side due to the thin crust, so if you have an appetite like we did - order more than what you think you need. We got 3 pizzas between the four of us. They have lovely street side outdoor seating and a patio. Conveniently located close to Baker's beach.
We've been going to Pizetta since they opened 12 (?) years ago, and they've never disappointed. This Richmond district gem feels like a little slice of Italy, offering some of the best artisanal pizza in San Francisco. On our latest visit, we enjoyed two incredible pizzas--the Asparagus, Meyer Lemon, Chive, Ricotta pizza, and the Spicy San Marzano Tomato Sauce, Mascarpone, Wild Arugula, Olio Verde pizza. Both were outstanding, with the perfect blend of fresh flavors and thin, crispy crust. The asparagus pizza was bright and zesty, while the spicy San Marzano pizza had just the right amount of heat, complemented by creamy mascarpone and peppery arugula. The wine selection at Pizetta is consistently impressive, with a great range by the glass and bottle. We also ordered a spring seasonal salad, which was both visually stunning and delicious. To top it all off, we shared a goat cheesecake with candied kumquat, which was divine.
We visited this great little pizza spot before going to the Legion of Honor. The menu is small, but there are great choices, including vegetarian options. Staff is friendly. We got there a few minutes before they opened at 11am (it was a weekday) and a short line formed soon thereafter. I think it would be busy on a weekend! There's plenty of outdoor seating, and limited indoor seating. We really enjoyed both pizzas. The farm breakfast pizza was especially good! Would definitely recommend! Crust was delicious.
Came here on a weekday for pi day! You do a checkin with the host outside in front of the tree to put down your name and number of guests. Off to the side, there is a counter with 4 bar stools where you can wait at. We were seated where they do have heat lamps. Service here is definitely iffy. Our host wasn't very friendly when we arrived, we weren't given any water for a while and my root beer was forgotten until I mentioned it. Our pizzas arrived in a timely manner and it was hot. * Farm Egg, Ham, Asparagus, Gruyere-Mornay $19.00 * Lamb Sausage, Spring Onion, Garlic Confit, Mint, Tzatziki $19.00 * Mushroom, Pistachio Pesto, Green Garlic, Fava Green, Parmigiana $19.00 * Panna Cotta with huckleberries $8.00 * Complimentary key lime pie Our favorites were the farm egg and the lamb sausage. Looking forward to coming back here again for the food but maybe when we're less hungry.
Great pizza spot in SF! It is a tiny restaurant with very limited indoor seating. They have outdoor patio heaters & blankets for those chilly SF days. We tried 4 pizzas and they were all really delicious with a perfect, thin crust. Our favorite was one that seems to be on their rotating menu with lots of meaty goodness - bacon, prosciutto, salami and spicy jalapeños. The Pizza with Rosemary, Fiore Sardo Cheese & Pine Nuts was also very good and it had the most pine nuts I have ever seen on a pizza! It would have been excellent if the rosemary flavor came through a little bit more as that was the predominant flavor on the pizza, but it was still an amazing pizza. The Spicy San Marzano Tomato Sauce, Mascarpone, Wild Arugula, Olio Verde was good but not as flavorful as the other two & the Tomato, Mozzarella & Basil was a solid basic pizza for those wanting something simpler. Staff was really friendly & it is definitely a restaurant we have bookmarked for a return visit.
Really cute and intimate spot to catch dinner in the Outer Richmond. No reservations, walk in only. The inside is quite small, but they do have some tables outside with heat. Staff here is kind and attentive. They offer some of the best pizza I've had so far here in SF. Two pizzas is perfect for a party of two! We had the Farm Egg and Rosemary pizza (see menu for more ingredients on these) and they were divine. The caramelized onions on the farm egg pizza were to die for. They also have a nice wine list and a few beers to choose from if you're in the mood for some drinks. Really can't wait to be back. This place rules.
